Our Team | FAQs

Deo Volente Solicitors realise the importance of your driving licence and we are on hand to get you the best possible outcome.

We will scrutinise every element of the offence that you have been charged with. It may be that you have been wrongly or falsely accused of an offence and if this is picked up at an early stage it may be possible to have proceedings discontinued or even have your case thrown out at court. Although we can never guarantee a positive result for you we will be sensitive to your circumstances and will adopt a ‘damage limitation’ approach to your case if the odds are stacked against you, in order to achieve the best possible outcome.

Driving in urban areas can become a daily routine for many of us through our lives and the risk of exceeding 30 miles per hour can become all too easy, which may have a severe impact. Local authorities are increasingly using mobile speed cameras in order to generate extra revenue and it is become increasingly easier to fall foul of the speed restrictions.

Here at DV Solicitors we will fight as long as there is a fight to be had, alternatively we will adopt the damage limitation approach where we will mitigate on your behalf in order to avoid disqualification or excessive points.

Removal of Driving Disqualification

If you have been unfortunate enough to be disqualified from driving and have a heavy reliance on your licence you may be able to apply to have your licence returned within the following timescales:

  • 2 years if disqualification is less than 4 years

  • One half of the period of disqualification is less than 10 years but not less than 4 (between 4-10 years)

  • 5 years if disqualification is 10 years or more

If you have been stopped by the police and summonsed to court for any of the following get in touch:

  • Using a mobile telephone/personal computer/satellite navigation system

  • Not wearing a seat belt (it is the drivers responsibility to ensure that passengers under the age of 14 are wearing a seat belt)

  • Defective tyres

  • Exceeding passenger limit

  • Defective brakes

Overall fees are case-dependent but our hourly rate is £150 plus VAT**

Additional Council Fee charges may also apply
