Personal Biography

An asset in the Immigration Department

Marking her remarkable fifth year at Deo Volente, Angel Masih joined the boutique firm as part of the work experience programme. She was then offered a training contract in 2016— a significant moment she’s forever humbled for. Two years later, she advanced further as an Immigration Solicitor and currently sits as one of Deo Volente’s assets.

Angel Mary Masih grew up in Bedford, United Kingdom. Like other normal kids, she lived a fun and educational childhood— enjoying word games, painting and strolling by the park with friends. Her aspiration of becoming a solicitor sparked from a young age, inspired mainly by films and TV shows. Eventually, she developed a strong desire to pursue law — and be the first in the family tree.

She studied at Camestone Lower School for primary education, Daubeney Middle School for secondary education, and Hastingsbury Upper School for her A-Levels.
She then went to Kingston University and BPP Law School. Her vigorous enthusiasm to tackle the legal system steered her path to the successful solicitor she is today. For Angel, her triumph is attributed mainly to her friends and family, who have continuously motivated her to carry through the goal.

Life at  Deo Volente

Angel has become an integral member of the Immigration Department at Deo Volente Solicitors. She has established a reputation for building a rapport with her clients, making her more confident yet amicable in her approach. Her commitment to reuniting families interfered by borders and their needs is still one reason why many people recommend her and come back for her services.

Angel upholds over 500 versatile cases throughout the years. When asked about her intervention with clients, she shared one exceptional case she dealt with early on in her career. A case involving a single mother with two dependent children whose application for leave to remain was refused: The Applicant’s youngest child had various health complications, yet the Home Office did not warrant this as a reason to grant leave to remain. This decision was appealed which was allowed based on submissions made and having produced compelling evidence.

She recalls up to this day the Applicant’s telephone call when she informed her that the appeal has been allowed and she exclaimed with joy for at least 10 minutes. The unparalleled happiness in her voice and the happy tears were evidence of how this decision has been life-changing and not only for her but for her children.

Angel’s area of expertise is Immigration and Asylum. She has highly professional experience with matters including:

  • Applications made by family members of British Citizens and Settled Persons
  • European applications

  • Human Rights applications
