Coming from a top 100 law firm in London, Iftekhar was headhunted to spearhead Deo Volente’s Private Client Department. He joined the firm in February 2020 and has shifted his department to the next level since! His success has established several connections and relationships within the local community, including Keech Hospice, which DV Solicitors are now proud sponsors of.
Iftekhar was born and raised in the historic city of St. Albans. As a young athletic boy, he knew without a doubt that he wanted to become a football player! However, things changed when he quickly realised the challenges of getting into the scene.
Since Iftekhar was always enthusiastic about becoming a solicitor, he made every effort and pulled through university bearing the mindset. He studied his undergraduate at the University of West of England, Bristol, and took his Legal Practice Course at the University of Law, London.
Possessing the ability to deal with matters calmly became one of Iftekhar’s strengths that motivated him to pursue his successful career. He is better known by clients for the bespoke advice that he provides. Furthermore, he is usually entrusted with acting as their professional attorney and deputy in many personal matters.
A journey in law
Appealing a case involving NHS continuing healthcare funding matters, recovering of £164,000 in care home fees is one of the notable cases in his law journey.
Iftekhar deals with the administration of estates ranging from small estates to large taxable estates. He prides himself on offering clear and concise advice to his clients in often difficult and emotional circumstances.
His experience includes providing clients with estate planning advice to assist managing their inheritance tax liability, drafting wills and lasting powers of attorney along with acting as a professional attorney, drafting personal injury trust funds and assisting clients with NHS continuing Health Care funding appeals.
Having undertaken Court of Protection work, Iftekhar has built good long standing relationships with care homes and social services in and around Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and London. He helps clients who wish to be appointed deputy where a family member has lost the capacity to undertake the whole deputy application process at what can be a difficult time.

In his spare time he enjoys playing football, cycling and spending time with his family and friends. Great things never come from the comfort zone- a motto he lives by through today.
