In 1998, Umaima was chosen as the Manager of Priority Banking by American Express Bank – Pakistan, given her career trajectory amongst high-net-worth families and individuals. She took on the responsibility of developing a client book, leading the sales team, and overseeing marketing activities alongside product development.
In 2006, embracing a new challenge, Umaima relocated to the UAE as the Director of Private Banking with the Royal Bank of Canada. Two years later, she joined Emirates NBD Bank as the Senior Director of Private Banking, covering Europe and CIS countries. In this role, she assisted clients in estate planning and created structures for client families. She managed complex situations related to tax and fiduciary services with the support of legal professionals.
Umaima provided tailored solutions to her clients and effectively managed assets worth over USD 1 billion. Her outstanding performance led to her being awarded by the bank, for booking Emirates NBD Note of USD 100 million with an 8-year maturity.
